We are the Experimental Rocketry Association of the University of Naples Federico II, dedicated to the design, construction, and launch of experimental rockets. Our goal is to participate in and win competitions at both national and international levels, pushing our boundaries in every project we do. Our mission is not only to achieve outstanding results but also to contribute to the growth of future generations of engineers and scientists.
Hermes is the second rocket designed by UniNa Rockets. The project, which was entirely developed by the team following the principle of re-usability, is equipped with a class J solid propellant engine, a double parachute recovery system and a dedicated avionics compartment. Named after the messenger of the gods, Hermes represents the starting point for increasingly ambitious projects in view of future competitions.
LAS-1 was our first project, a small-sized rocket designed to get us started in rocketry. It provided us with the opportunity to learn the basics and gain hands-on experience. The project focused on practical skills, allowing us to understand rocket assembly, launching techniques, and recovery methods. By tackling challenges as they arose, we developed a solid foundation that would serve as a stepping stone for our future projects. The success of LAS-1 not only boosted our confidence but also ignited our passion for rocket building and exploration.
